• Taking the old cedar shakes off, putting new plywood down over the whole roof. Usually, cedar shakes are on strapping, so the whole roof will need to be re-sheeted with plywood, then installing the new roof with either fibreglass laminate shingles or Rubber Roofing by Euroshield.
